Three Taxi Partners volunteered for the first time at Singapore Baptist Convention Golden Age Home on 17 Jan 2020 and found happiness doing it. The volunteers interact with the elderly, share laughter and have lunch with them. We also had a sing-along session with the elderly and end off the session with a joyful Chinese New Year song. Seeing the smiles on the elderly faces inspired them to be involved in doing more volunteering work.
Beside the rotating night shifts, working as an Operations Control Centre Associates (OCCA) means he or she needs to possess the right skills to figure out customers’ problems quickly when they call in.
In addition to the right skills, patience is the most important virtue that our OCCA possess to better manage challenging situations professionally.
