We are happy to welcome the newly elected members of our SMRT Taxi Operators Association (STOA) Executive Committee (EXCO). Here are the new committee from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2024 for your information.
The new Chairman of STOA is now Mr Charles Ban. The ex-Chairman, Mr Colin Neo, will now serve as an Advisor to STOA.
“People say that I’m the person to go to for all matters. I like to upgrade myself to stay up-to-date with the latest happenings in the industry. It is important to find ways of acquiring new skills to remain relevant in this fast changing landscape. I’ll continue to be there for my members whenever I can to share information to the best of my knowledge,” says Mr Colin Neo.
Colin, as we fondly call him, has been with SMRT Taxis for more than 20 years now and has recruited over 5,000 STOA members. A frequent winner of Transport Gold Award and Excellent Service Award (EXSA) from 2009 through 2016, we were especially proud when Colin received the honourable SkillsFuture Fellowships Award from President Halimah Yacob in 2018.
“Thank you, Colin for building a strong association. I look forward to working closely with the management team during the COVID-19 period and establishing care and benefits for fellow members in the future”, added Mr Charles Ban.
Mr Tony Heng, Senior Vice President of Road Holding has to say: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank Colin and his team for their contribution to STOA and promoting harmonious working relationship between STOA and SMRT Taxis. At the same time, it is with great pleasure that we welcome the new Chairman, Charles and his team. We continue to look forward to a strong and fruitful collaboration with the STOA EXCO.”
